Medical Director
Kay is originally from Bettendorf, Iowa. She attended Iowa State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology in 1995 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. After spending many years in small animal practices in Colorado, she returned to the Quad Cities in 2012 to be closer to her mother. She began practicing as Precious Paws in 2021.
Kay is married to Jason, and they share their home with two wonderful daughters, Aria and Aeva, as well as nine cherished pets: four dogs—Boscoe, Cocoa Bean, Milo, and Moo—and five cats—Clark (Griswald), Eli (a.k.a. Mr. Pants), Norman, Stanley, and Walter (Peyton Manning).
In her free time, Kay enjoys working out and baking.
Veterinary Technician

Katie is a registered veterinary technician with a keen interest in surgery, anesthesia, and behavior. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Biology from Southern Illinois University and an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Muscatine Community College. Additionally, she is Fear Free Certified and recognized as a certified Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional. Katie enjoys working with all animals, especially senior and fearful pets.
She currently lives in Davenport with her husband and four cats. In her spare time, Katie loves baking, reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
Veterinary Technician

Jasynda grew up in Davenport and discovered her passion for veterinary medicine after an emergency with one of her own dogs. She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Muscatine Community College in 2022. During her internship at Precious Paws, she realized how much she loved the work, prompting her to return after graduation. Jasynda enjoys every aspect of her job and looks forward to continually expanding her skills and knowledge. In her spare time, she listens to true crime stories, cooks and bakes with her family, and cherishes watching her young daughter grow. Her home is filled with the happy energy of her three small dogs: Pika, Boujee, and Toby.

Linda grew up in Cambridge, Illinois, and now resides in Rock Island. She has spent more than eight years working in the veterinary field, serving as both a veterinary assistant and a technician, and is deeply committed to animal welfare. In her free time, Linda enjoys staying close to home, baking, and watching Dancing with the Stars.

Rylyn was born and raised in the small town of Princeton, Iowa, where she still resides with her husband, Mayson. She earned a Liberal Arts degree from Scott Community College in 2019 and completed her Bachelor’s in Animal Science at Iowa State University in 2021. In her free time, Rylyn enjoys walking her dogs, Tito and Charlie, watching TV with her cat, Gerti, and cheering on her favorite teams: the Green Bay Packers, Iowa State Cyclones, and St. Louis Cardinals.
Veterinary Assistant

Nicole’s love for animals began early in life, as she was always surrounded by furry companions. She started her veterinary career in 2011 and is dedicated to promoting the health and happiness of pets. “Every day at work is exciting,” Nicole says, “and I’m grateful to make a positive difference in the lives of animals and their families.” At home, she cares for Luna, a German Shepherd, and Nova, a Maine Coon cat. When she’s not in scrubs, Nicole enjoys bike riding, jet skiing, and attending concerts.

Nancy, a Bettendorf native, attended Pleasant Valley High School and later continued her education at the University of Northern Iowa. With over 13 years of experience working with a wide array of animals—from horses to smaller companions—she now shares her home with two horses, two pot-bellied pigs, four cats, and two dogs. In her free time, Nancy enjoys horseback riding and pursuing a range of outdoor activities.
Customer Care Representative

Grace was born and raised in Davenport, where she still resides today. She spent four years working in the veterinary field with Dr. Kay, serving as both a receptionist and an assistant. At home, Grace cares for two beloved pets: Douglas Carl, a Mastiff mix, and Kevin Eugene, a mischievous cat. In her spare time, she loves watching football, experimenting in the kitchen, and tackling challenging puzzles. When summer arrives, you’ll often find her soaking up the sun in her pool.
